U.S. Virgin Islands are an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. The islands are a territory subject to United States and comprises the three islands of Saint Croix, Saint John and Saint Thomas. U.S. Virgin Islands are part of the greater archipelago of the Virgin Islands. The second part is called the British Virgin Islands. West of the U.S. Virgin Islands is Puerto Rico.

The climate is subtropical with 25 to 28 degrees year round, and a relatively short rainy season from September to November.

Tourism is the main industry next to agriculture and industry. It is left driving in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The landscape of the islands is hilly and rocky, with Crown Mountain on St. Thomas as the highest point of 475 meters. Around the øyaene there are many pearls of sparkling white sand beaches, which are surrounded by coral reefs with fish and corals in all sorts of colors and shapes.
