Paris is a big city and France's European capital. The city is situated on the river Seine in the North of France, in the heart of the Île-de-France Région parisienne "or". The central landscape element is the river Seine, which flows in from the Southeast, running in a wide arc through the town and leaving it in the South West. The highest point in Paris where there live people are 195moh, but the actual town centre is only approx. 60-80 metres above sea level. Paris region accounts for France's central economic activities, and La Défense, a separate financial district with large commercial buildings and skyscrapers, is located 2.5 km west of the old town centre.

The city is visited by over 30 million foreigners each year. Attractions that draws people to the city's first and foremost, the Eiffel Tower, the Notre-Dame, parade Street, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Sacré Coeur or the church dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus, Invalidesdomen, the Panthéon and the Opera Garnier, as well as the art collections that can be found in the Musée du Louvre, Musée National d'Art Moderne at the Pompidou Centre and the Musée d'Orsay. Disneyland, a theme park that is located outside the city, also draws many people to Paris.

Paris and the Paris region has thanks to its rich historical heritage, many castles such as the Château de Versailles, Hall mirrors, Trianon, Château de Vincennes, the Château de Thoiry, Château de Fontainebleau and the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte.

Festivals in Paris is the Carnaval de Paris, Fête de la Musique, the Marche des fiertés which is a Gay Parade, Paris Quartier d ' Eté which is a festival of Arts, Paris Plages a beach festival along the Seine, Heritage Days, the Techno parade and Nuit Blanche.

Year after year, takes the spotlight with Paris fashion collections and its creations to impress on the avenue Montaigne and the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. In Paris celebrated the female beauty, with a fantasy world of stunning fabrics, delicate fragrances and sparkling jewels.
