Florida also called the Sunshine State due to the good climatic conditions. Florida also has a rich tourist offer and perhaps the world's best, which is the state's main source of income. Florida is a peninsula with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. Atlantic coast is shallow and has a belt of sand dunes and sheltered lagoons. Going variety of all attractions, sights and muses in the state you need at least 4 weeks. Just going through the "Disney World", will need a least 3-4 days and have their children with them goes fast 1 week.
Remember, all the major attractions can be purchased admission pass for several days, this saves as much to buy. For it takes time to get through the main attractions, as they are the size of a Norwegian town in circumference.

Car is important in Florida if not necessary to get around the state.

The first European to Florida was the Spaniard Ponce de Leon. The area was then inhabited by Indians, and the U.S. is its indigenous people, who mostly practiced simple agriculture.
In 1565 founded the Spaniards Augustine, USA's oldest city. In 1763-1783 Florida was under the British flag and received many immigrants. In 1821, the Spanish sold Florida to the United States.

The Indians had been living in peace for the Spaniards, but as it got more immigrants, it became less and less room for them. Eventually, they were incorporated into reserves, this led to a war broke out between Indians and immigrants. After the war (1863 - 42) was transferred to the Indian state of Oklahoma, but except for a few hundred who hid away in the swamp areas.

Florida was subsequently incorporated as the 27th state is the United States but entered the Union in 1861 and joined the Confederate States of America. After the Civil War (1868) quit it again to the Union. Economic growth did not start in the state before the turn of the century and gathered momentum after the First World War.
