Wynyard is a village on the north-west coast of Tasmania, Australia, located 16 kilometers west of Burnie at the mouth of the Inglis River. Wynyard is a popular tourist center.

Places of interest in Wynyard include the local scenic attraction Table Cape, an extinct volcano overlooking inward along the north coast and out to Bass Strait. The place has a lighthouse which was completed in 1888. Fossil Bluff, is a natural headland on Bass Strait, with many fossils including Wynyardii Bassiana. The city also has several fine beaches on the East Wynyard and near the Old Port.
